“Beautiful, friendly hotel in a charming village”

Two of us stayed here half way through a walk along the South Downs Way and it was perfect. Didn't bat an eye when we showed up soaked and muddy, very friendly welcome. The room was pretty, clean and bright with a lovely bathroom. There's a really nice terrace to have a drink before dinner (amazing gin selection) and the restaurant is stylish with a great fireplace. Food was really excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was amazing, the staff were all friendly. And Alfriston is a charming town with some great country pubs (we liked the George best). Recommended! Would love to go back

"An Excellent Stay"

Stayed for two nights last week to celebrate my wife's birthday. The balcony room was lovely and the whole house had a nice feel to it. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive, and we had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Would recommend without hesitation.

"Luxury Treat"

We are just back from a night of Dinner, bed and breakfast at Wingrove House. The experience was perfect from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable . We wandered around the lovely village which has lots to offer especially if you like a pub! We dined at the Wingrove where the food and service was exceptional and not over priced. The breakfast was the best yet with plenty to choose from and all homemade bread and jam and a perfectly cooked breakfast. We will most definitely be returning for another luxury break.
